V194 | Release Notes - April 2024

Date of release: Mon 29 & Tue 30 April, 2024

Beta: Monday 22nd April, 2024

Drive Personalisation with the Multilingual Extra Text Field for your Seatmap

In our ongoing efforts within personalisation, we are happy to announce that the Seatmap extra text in the tier legend is now multilingual. Take advantage of this in the 'Remarks' field within a Hall.

While they can be seen as small takeaways, offering multiple language options to your users is an essential step towards more inclusive and culturally significant personalisation.

The field offers a fantastic opportunity to share important information with your visitors, whether comments on accessibility or something else.

CMS Rework & Design

As we have mentioned in previous updates, we are working towards refreshing the CMS with improved modules and features, as well as new functionality and design. One of the more recent drives is the implementation of a new design system for the new CMS.

You can take a sneak peek of all the new modules and designs by switching on Beta Access to the New Dashboard in your Dashboard Account settings.

New Visitor Tag Synchronisation for all Accounts

While Visitor Tags were already synced to the Peppered Database in two ways:

  • Any time a Visitor logs into the website or returns to the website in a ‘logged-in state’
  • During daily imports of sales data from the Box Office system

This ensures that Visitor Tags are always accurate when a Visitor is on your website and logged in, which aids in providing personalised content. However, the data was not 100% complete as it did not import new Visitor Tags for Visitors who had not logged in or purchased a ticket.

For example, when new Visitor Tags are assigned to a group of Visitors, such as during pre-sale periods, it is important to have a complete dataset that you can utilise, for instance, in the Query Builder for pre-sale mailings.

The V194 release update provides a new daily automated synchronisation that will update Visitor Tags for all known accounts and add new accounts that were previously not available in the Peppered database, for example, from Visitors who had never logged in, created an account or purchased tickets in the given period of sales.

As of this release, the new updater will go live for Ovatic, Itix and Ticketmatic, with other ticketing systems to go live in a future release.

iTheatre & iConcerts Event Updater

iTheatre & iConcerts users rejoice! As of Peppered Release V194, the iTheatre & iConcerts event updater is now available. If you are interested in deploying this for your website, productions, and events, please reach out via the Service Portal, as our Professional Services Team will need to handle this.

UX Improvements

When only one visible submenu item is present, the main button (item) becomes the main link. We hope this will improve the user experience when navigating websites, as previously, the main menu item was no longer linking directly and only displayed one singular submenu item–this has now been fixed.
